Established in June 1995, the Idaho Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (Idaho ATSA) is a state chapter of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA). Idaho ATSA was founded to assist ATSA in their vision to foster research, facilitate information exchange, further professional education, provide for the advancement of professional standards and practices in the field of sex offender evaluation and treatment in the state of Idaho.

Idaho ATSA is a voluntary, multi-disciplinary membership organization focused specifically on the prevention of sexual abuse through effective management of sex offenders.

Idaho ATSA members are dedicated to working together to increase community safety, prevent sexual abuse and reduce sexual recidivism through the implementation of evidence based treatment practices and sex offender management policies uniformly throughout Idaho.

What is ATSA?

The Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers is an international, multi-disciplinary organization dedicated to making society safer by preventing sexual abuse. ATSA promotes sound research, effective evidence-based practice, informed public policy, and collaborative community strategies that lead to the effective assessment, treatment, and management of individuals who have sexually abused or are at risk to abuse.

ATSA's members include treatment providers, researchers and educators, victims' rights advocates, law enforcement and court officials, and representatives of many other stakeholder groups.
